Text to Text- Serendipity & Me

I am reading a book called Serendipity & Me by Judith L. Roth and it is about a girl named Sara and her hard times that come to a good ending. Sara's mother died when she was young so it is just her and her dad. Sara has always wanted a cat but her father always says no without any reasoning. When Sara gets sick, she can't act in her school play making her miserable. One night, she hears scratching at her door so she opens it making a little white kitten pounce in. She only has a week before her kitten has to go so she needs to convince her dad and make plans to keep it. She names the cat Serendipity right away. Sara eventually uncovers her family secrets and gets to keep Serendipity.          The main character, Sara reminds me of  Nikki from the book series: Dork diaries. There isn't a lot of connections between these characters and books but there is one. Sara and Nikki both have hard time in middle school that sometimes lead ...

Text to text~ Glass Sword

I'm reading Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard. Imagine your world is divided by blood; silver blood and red blood. Silver bloods have abilities while red bloods don't. Your a red blood, but you have abilities. This book is the second book in the series. In the first book the silver kingdom discovered her powers and betrothed her to the kings youngest son(Maven), which was her age. Mare is also being taught to be a proper princess while she is in the kingdom. One of Mare's teacher's, Julian, knows she is not a silver but still teaches her how to use her abilities. Mare and Maven secretly join a terrorist group against the silvers, called the Scarlet Guard. The Scarlet Guard wants the silver kingdom and reds to be even. Mare joins the Scarlet Guard because she thought her brother(Shade) died. But then the king died because Maven and his mother(Elara) killed him, Maven blamed the death on his older brother(Cal). So now everyone believes that Mare and Cal killed the king.  M...

Text to Text-The Fault in Our Stars

I am reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. This book is about two teenagers with cancer fall in love and go places together to live life to their fullest ability, while still accepting the fact that they are dying, in the end something is lost. What do you think this is? Hazel and Augustus are together and in love, but their lives are much different than our lives, they both have cancer. They meet at a support group and immediately fall in love. Hazel and Augustus both read and "their book" is An Imperial Infliction. They go to  Amsterdam together and meet the author of their book and he turns out to be very rude.  When they get back something is lost and is very sad.    My book is a book that has a lot to do with life and you can learn many lessons from reading it. The book reminds me of Nicholas Sparks books not because the romance in both books but because its about life and what goes on in life and both authors can help you relate so well to...

Text to text

So have you been wondering what has happened in the book Jeremy Fink and the meaning of life. The author that wrote my book is Wendy Mass. So far what has happened is Jeremy has gotten in trouble. He got in trouble because while he was searching for the keys for his book he went into a office of the person they thought had the keys and it was not the right office. So a security guard caught them. Now they have to do a whole summer of coummmity service.    This reminds me of part in Jeremy Fink and the meaning of life of a part in Judy moody. It reminds me of this book because Judy the main character because in the book it tells how she has a long list of things to do over the summer  but as soon as its start all her friends leave to go to somewhere and she stuck at home. Also she trying to accomplish all these things before summer is over so she goes on jorrneys to. That why this reminds me of the book Iḿ reading.   It s...

Text to Text Heat and Papi

Have you ever read the book Heat or the book Papi. Heat is written by Mike Lupica and Papi is written by David Ortiz. Heat is about a kid who has a very good throwing arm but his dad dies and he needs his birth cirtificate to play. Papi is about David Ortiz life and what he went throuh to get to the majors.      The book Heat shows all the kids playing baseball and training to be the best and in the book Papi it shows him doing what he does and how he gets to the majors. In Heat Micheal doesnt have his birth cirtificate and he trys so hard to get it and finally gets his birth cirtificate. Which in Papi it shows David Ortiz trying his hardest to get to the majors and he finally made it. This Charachter Micheal is like Papi because in both books they accomplish what they want.      I think that these books are almost the exact same becuase they both connect on baseball and have to try as hard as they can. I felt sad when reading Heat I...
I am reading the The Sea of Monsters y. Rick Riordan. What happen so far is that Percy and his friends Annabeth  and Tyson went on a trip to save their friend Grover and they need to get him before the cyclopes eat him.The get help from the sea god.On the they have trouble with the god of magic.           Percy reminds me of me because he is smart and i am smart. He makes good plans and i make great plan.He likes to help friends and i like help my friend. Annabeth reminds me of my sister because she is always bossing Percy and she is always bossing me around.          I fell that the next book i think maybe they need to add more or better events in the book.I also think adding less pages would make it much easier and much better to get done with. Also The need to add more facts about it.In the next book maybe change the characters point of view and how it is told like maybe Percy had kids a...

Text to Text- The Maze Runner

I am reading  The Maze Runner by James Dashner.  This story is about a boy named Thomas who was brainwashed and taken to a place called the Glades. Thomas was very curious on running in the maze inside the Glades. When he had the chance, Thomas went into the maze and became a runner. Thomas is starting to put together clues and messages he has found to why he went to the glades in the first place. He is now trying to decode a message that has been created, so he can stop the danger. Thomas and the other runners need to defeat the grievers, and what is happening to their world.           The scene where the ferocious creatures (grievers) come and are trying to break their way into the map room, reminds me of the book The Hunger Games . That specific scene reminds me of  The Hunger Games  because when the other creatures (mutts) come out from the forest, the characters were prepared as well, but struggled to...

Text to Text

I am reading the book,Bronx Masquerade by Nikki Grimes. In this story,it has more meaning than behind any cover that can replace the flaws and and show people they're not alone. It started when the teacher,Mr.Ward handed out a poetry assignment that meant more to the characters than they think. And when a door closes,a new one opens but all the characters gotta do is write a poem and be they're at open mike Friday, but that's easy to say with characters like Porscha  Johnson, who want to change her name to not look back on her mothers scars.,and even Raul Ramirez who don't talk much but has a empty canvas called life but want to color it.But that's not all,all eighteen voices together at a stand will speak up for the lies, memories,or love they share together weather the world decides to listen or not on open Mike Friday.      How the changes and similarities i can see in the story that i can see in a connection is with the book "The Skin i'm in"by Sh...

Text to Text - Out of my Mind

I finished  Out of my Mind  by Sharon Draper.  Out of my Mind , by Sharon Draper, is a story about a young girl named Melody Brooks who has cerebral palsy, which affects her body movement, muscle control, muscle coordination, muscle tone, reflex, posture, balance, and many more. She is not only different from all the other fifth graders because of her condition, but because of her intelligence. Melody is really smart but is often misjudged because of how she looks and because she can't do most things on her own. Her school then starts a program called Inclusion Classes which allow her to interact with students her age.      In Out of my Mind , Melody is always saying that she feels like she is trapped in a cage. This reminds me of a scene in Everything, Everything  by Ni cola Yoon because the main character Madeline has a disease where she can't go outside, so she doesn't have a lot of interaction with other people. Melody has a ...

Text to Text- Smiles to Go

The book I am currently reading is " Smiles to Go" by Jerry Spinelli. In the book so far the main character Will who's a teenager has his whole life planned, little does he know a proton died. This is a problem because a proton are tiny atomic particles that are building blocks of life and if life dies the world will end in some time. Meanwhile Will has his whole life planned, his marriage and basically who he is going to be become in the future. Will has a little annoying sister named Tabby who bugs and bugs him, it makes his life miserable. Every Monday night he plays monopoly with his friends Mi-Su who he has a crush on and B.T, they switch off at who's house to do it at and who brings the pizza. Each monopoly games ends with B.T spending everything and Mi-Su and Will against each other. Sometimes they don't do game night because there is another special event going on. At the time there was an event about the stars which only happened once a year in the...

Text to Text: The Titan's Curse

I am reading the book The Titan's Curse  by Rick Riordan.  This book is the third book of the Percy Jackson & the Olympians . So far this book is about Percy Jackson, Annabeth, and Thalia going to get some half-bloods, because the camp is loosing a lot of half-bloods, and they need to get more of them.  They find two half bloods, Nico, and Bianca, which are both brother and sister. Later, they meet Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, and has her own lady hunters. Annabeth is gone, due to a monster they were fighting. Zoe, that is a hunter, and is part of the hunt, with Artemis. Artemis realizes a there is a monster (she doesn't reveal who) and goes to take it down, and take it to Mount Olympus to show that there's a problem. Later, everyone see's the Oracle (the thing that give prophecies) and told one, Zoe wants to go on a quest to fulfill the prophecy.      A book that's similar to The Titan's Curse  is  The Outsiders. ...

Sea of Monsters

I am reading The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan  . This book is about Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson. Percy and Tyson are the son's of Poseidon (the god of the sea). Annabeth is their friend and the daughter of Athena. They are trying to save camp Half-blood. This is a summer camp for demi-gods. They are also trying to save their friend Grover. Thalia's tree is the barrier which keeps the monsters out of the camp. Thalia's tree is dying because it has been poisoned. The golden fleece can cure the tree and the barrier. To retrieve the  the fleece, they have to travel through the sea of Monsters. Mortals call this the Bermuda Triangle.                This book reminds me of Hatchet. It reminds me of Hatchet because the two main characters, Percy and Brian Robeson, are around the same age. They are also away from their parents during the summer months. It's obvious that they both go on an adventure. The setting is ...
Since I have been gone this book has gone from good to bad for the twins. In my book The Third Twin  by C.J Omololu . When the two twins went on two different dates with two different guys as the fake twin it went bad. The next night of when they went on the date with the guys they both died the same way stabbed in the back of the head. The police then showed up at their school looking for Alicia Rios the fake twin both girls had to go up there and the one sister Lexi took a hit for Ava and said she went out with both guys and said Alicia was fake. She was then took to the station and asked a bunch of questions but she knew she didn't do it but all the DNA was hers so no body believed her. Her layer then got her home and she kept asking her sister if she did it because she wasn't sure if she did it or not. Now no one knows who did the death to the two boys so Alicia might of came real or one of them is just lying to each other saying they didn't do it.   ...

Text To Text~Disney After Dark

I am reading the book Disney After Dark by Ridley Pearson. This book is about five teenagers who get jobs as DHI, which means Disney Host Interactions, and Daylight Hologram Imaging. It seems like a normal job until at night, Finn has a dream where he is in the Magic Kingdom, and he meets this old Imagineer. The Imagineer tells Finn that the Magic Kingdom is in danger of the Overtakers, and only Finn and the other DHI can stop them. Eventually, the DHI's all come to the park at night, and they find out the truth and secrets of Walt Disney World. Soon, they will have to go look for clues around the park to find a way to destroy the Overtakers.      The book series Percy Jackson kind of reminds me of Disney After Dark . Finn has to get a big group of other teens to destroy an evil, and Percy has to destroy an evil with a group of teens. They are also both in fantasy genre books, with magical places. In one of the parts in Disney After Dark, Finn...
I am reading Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library from Chris Grabenstein. It is about a kid named Kyle Keeley who gets to be one of twelve other kids who get to see the new library for the first time. They get this opportunity because they never had a public library in there life for twelve years, so on the grand opening they would spend the night, to get to they had to right a essay about why the new library is so important. So night they slept at the library went great. Then they woke up to the rocky them song and were told they had to try to escape the library with out using the front door. It was to promote the owner of the library Mr. Lemoncello new bored game Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library. If they escape first they get to be the spokesman for the new game and get rich.        My book Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library  is the same as the book  I Funny.  These two books are the same by they are written by the same people, Chris Grabens...

Text to Text-Until Friday Night

Until Friday Night by Abbi Glines. This book is about a girl (Maggie) that had a problem with her past life, she felt guilty of what happened, so she started to close her self from the world and not talk to anyone. After she had been in a house that would help her not go crazy, she moved back to her home town and lived with her Uncle and her Aunt. She hadn't been to a public school in awhile, after her first day at school everyone started to make fun of her because she didn't talk to anyone. The following days she had gone to school and got help from her cousin (Brady), all the boys at the school started to catch their eyes, one guy (West) started to try and get her to talk, and it worked (she only talked to him because he was making her mad). West had problem's of his own, his dad had cancer and was dying. At first West just wanted to be friends with Maggie, but then he started to grow on to her. He had always wanted her there with him. At the end he had calmed he h...

Text to Text Molly´s Story

In my previous post it was about a book known as, ´´ Ellie´s Story ´´. I am now reading a different book called ´´ Molly´s Story ´´. This book is about a mixed dog breed who lives with her human. However Molly´s owner´s mom hates dogs, and will not allow them so CJ ( Aka Molly´s Owner ) has to hide Molly every day. This book is simply amazing, and is by the author W. Bruce Cameron.   After reading the book, ´´Molly´s Story´´ I think of it as something almost anyone can relate to. It has every little detail added into one book.  The character Molly reminds me of my dog Coco who happens to be a small brown dog like Molly. You can easily relate Molly and Ellie because one, they are both dogs. They also help humans through the story because Ellie does search and rescue, and Molly finds people with cancer.  Therefore these two books are simply amazing and have a heart warming story to go with it. If you are wondering no animals or people die in the book .  T...

Text to Text: Cinder

I am reading Cinder  by Marissa Meyer.  Cinder  is about a cyborg, named Cinder. She lives in an old garage, that is also her work space. She is a mechanic and ends up fixing Prince Kai's android. While fixing the android she finds a lunar chip that was installed by someone from the moon where lunars live. She finds out that if Prince Kai marries Levana  then she will wage war over Commonwealth and kill Kai. The prince has a hard choice to make at the end of the book. Will he save Cinder but risk starting a war with Luna or give Cinder to Luna and not start a war. At the very end of the book Dr. Erland  shows up at Cinder's cell to give her a new cyborg foot, and hand(her foot fell off at the ball).      This situation reminds me of a  similar situation I was in my own life. It happened when I first moved to Missouri when I was about 4. Actually when I moved to a city called Eureka, in Missouri when I was 6. I met a gi...

text to text~A Dog's Purpose

I am reading the book  A Dog's Purpose    by W. Bruce Cameron. This book is about (So far) a dog who lives multiple lives and what im reading now is he starts off his life as a small puppy named Toby who is a stray and gets caught and brought to a 'shelter' then to the vet to get a check up. This reminds me of a similar scene in the book Paint The Wind     by Pam Munoz Ryan when Artemisia has to earn the humans trust again which reminds me of Toby learning how to trust humans in general. This character Toby is like a character in Paint the Wind  by Pam Munoz Ryan. The character's name is Golly and she is so spunky, cute and hyper like Toby is in the book, its kinda funny to imagine Toby playing. I began to think why does he want to know his purpose and why he doesn't know it/understand it that well. I felt sad when his mother ran away from the 'shelter', but it's a part of life. She had to leave some day. If I were Toby at this point I would try and fi...

Text to Text:The hunger games

I'm reading the book  The hunger games  by, Suzanne Collins. This book is all about life lessons that you should learn by it,this book is showing you things you you should not do and why.She makes it so addicting to read once you start you don't want to stop.it's all about the action and the mystery's and problem solving puzzles etc.              Katniss Everdeen reminds me because we both look after are siblings and we would do anything to keep them alive. You would die to keep them alive and we want them to have a better live then we do.  Finnick  reminds me of somebody i know because they are not scared to die there not scared to talk back they would be the strong. And end up going crazy of wanting to go to war.the seen when they said Delly had a pasty-face???       what does that even mean to say that i began to think t...

Text to Text: Small as an Elephant

I am reading Small as an Elephant by Jennifer Richard Jacobson and this story is about a boy named Jack and he wakes up on first day of vacation and is mom is gone. The car, the tent, everything is gone. He knows it is up to him to find her, but he needs to find her before people find out he is alone. He goes on long journeys to find his mother but will he forgive her? She left him all by himself and the only thing to keep him company is a small plastic elephant. When he is found he is afraid he will be taken away from his mother. He meets some unexpected friends along the way and before he is found he just wants to see the elephant back in Boston named Lydia, but will he make it before someone turns him in?         This book reminds me of the book  The Outsiders  because just like how Jack was left all alone by his mother, Johnny is payed little attention by his parents and they do not care for Johnny in The Outsiders . These books connect because...

Text to Text - Inkheart

I am still reading the book Inkheart  by Cornelia Funke. So far, my recent blog is way out of date, so much more has happened since then. Capricorn got the book and doesn't plan on giving it back, Mo was later caught, and so was Meggie. Dustfinger helped them escape Capricorn's village, and they were on the run a while. They later went to the author of Inkheart, who's name is Fenoglio. While Mo was gone to get Elinor (aunt) Basta came and took Meggie and Fenoglio. While locked in their own little "prison," Meggie reads out loud and Tinker Bell comes out. Capricorn now says that their is no need for Mo. They plan on having Meggie read an "executioner" out of Inkheart for Dustinger's and a maid's execution. But, Dustfinger escaped after locking Basta in a cell. These actions remind me of a book called, Harry Potter. It reminds me of Harry Potter because, in The Goblet of Fire , Cedric and Harry are sucked into a portkey. Harry had to escape back...

Text to Text- The Girl Who Drank the Moon

If you recall, I was reading The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill. Much has happened in the story since I last posted. The witch (Xan) calls the baby Luna and over the years Luna grows very powerful, but she doesn't know what she's doing. At about the age of five Xan has to put a spell on Luna to capture her magic and when Luna turns 13 her magic will come out. Unfortunately that means Xan will die. When it's close to Luna's birthday Xan leaves because she has to get the baby from the circle to take to the free cities. Luna goes out to look for her grandmother and ends up having an interesting adventure.          This book reminds me of the book Sleeping Beauty because both main characters has a spell cast on them. Luna's spell causes her to loose her magic until she turns 13 and Sleeping Beauty's spell cause her to sleep for a long time. There are also many other connections, such as, both stories have evil witches ...

Text-to-Text: The Rocky Road Trip

I am reading The Rocky Road Trip  by Amy Ingnatow. The book is about two main characters Julie Graham-Chang and Lydia Goldblatt going on a road trip. They all around to different states. On the way they dropped Lydia at her Dad's house. Where she ends up dying her hair blue and her fathers goes off on her and her stepmother reassures her. Then, she waits for the Graham-Chang's to get there. Later they go to Papa Dad's sisters house and they go camping.     This book reminds me of the book 20,000 leagues under the sea because one of the characters in each book does really want to go. Like Ned didn't want to go fishing for the narwhal because he thought it was stupid. Lydia didn't want to her Dad's house because of what happened the last time. He ended up yelling at both of them.    I like how it shows their adventure's in all the different states they went to. I love when they get home because their house sitter is all scattered up and is ...

Text to Text- Who Could That Be at This Hour?

I'm reading Who Could That Be at This Hour? By Lemony Snicket . This book is about Lemony Snicket and S. Theodora Markson, the two main characters in the book. What has happened so far in the book is, Lemony Snicket is eating at a fast food restaurant with his "parents" who I believe are just random people, Theodora then walks in and slips a note to Lemony telling him to come to the bathroom and then sneak out the bathroom window. When Lemony gets out of the bathroom using a ladder that Theodora left him, he finds Theodora waiting outside in her green Roadster. When Lemony got in the car he asked why Theodora needed him and Theodora said "That's the wrong question Snicket" which is actually said a lot in this book in the half that I've read so far. Theodora and Lemony then drive to a town called Staind-By-Sea, which has a sea that used be an actual sea, but all the water which was really ink because it is run by squid but most of the squid have died and ...

Abby Orpel-11 Birthdays

I'm reading 11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass .  11 Birthdays is about a girl named Amanda,  who wakes up to be repeating her 11th birthday.  Amanda Ellerby lives a horrible 11th birthday until the day resets and she's celebrating her birthday over again.  She thinks it's all a joke in the very beginning, but then she's going back to school and doing all her work again.  A few days after reliving her birthday, she talks to ex-best friend Leo.  He told her that he has been reliving his birthday as well.  They then make up and become friends again.  Together they try to figure out what is happening that causes them to repeat the same day over and over.  Both kids try to help people, ditch school, talk to hypnotists, and go to a closed history museum.  Finally they meet someone named Angelina, who tells them what's going on.  After they redo another day and fix their plants from their 5th birthdays, they stop the enchantment and stop rep...

Text to Text- The Giver

In my book, The Giver  by Lois Lowry, Jonas escapes from his "perfect" community with a baby, Gabriel. Jonas escapes so he can give the community memories and color, and so he can get other people to save the Utopian world. Jonas goes through hard times and at one point he wishes he were dead. But he gets right back up to save Gabriel and his community. Once Jonas gets into the regular world and he sees people, the book ends. This book is like The City of Ember  by Jeanne DuPrau. The City of Ember was built underground while the world started to end. But because of a selfish mayor/leader the people of that underground city were there way to long, and terrible things were happening. Then, three people, Lina, Doon, and Poppy escape to find the outside world. They go on a great journey that takes a long time and is hard. Then, the book ends when the trio reaches the outside world and meets people. These books are similar because, both worlds are made to try to make things be...

Text to Text Bruiser

I am reading about Bruiser , by Neal Shusterman. Since my last post bruiser has gotten even more interesting, leaving you with wanting to know more about the next chapter. Brewster has been getting into trouble lately with his uncle. He has been sneaking out and playing basketball with Bronte and her dad, telling her uncle that he has been at the library. Cody has been taking the blame for his brother and getting him int more and more trouble. What will Cody and his brother do when his Uncle finds out that he hasn't been where he is supposed to be?  This book reminds me of Wounder, this is because Aggie is having a hard time trying to make friends. In the book Wounder, nobody wants to  be his friend because he looks different. Except for a couple of people that kinda are the same in a way with Aggie. The same thing is happening to Brewster, because he can't make friends or he will hurt his friends. But Tennyson and Bronte, his girlfriend don't care, they are his fri...

Unwind: Neal Shusterman

I am reading the book Unwind  by Neal Shusterman. This is the first book of the series. This is about these people who are giving up their lives even if they don't want to. They are called Unwinds. They are also known as tithes. They are chosen by there family to do this. They are the chosen ones. Before they are born their parents must decide if they are going to be a Unwound or not. In this book a boy named Conner is chosen to be the unwound in his family. He thinks that it is a blessing but he doesn't know what's coming.       This books sort of reminds me of the book " The Maze Runner ." It reminds me of that specific book because they don't choose if they are going to be a unwound or a maze runner it is chosen for them. When they are little they live their life then when they get to the right age they are taken away and their new life lies ahead of them weather they live or not. Risa is a lot like Teresa from " The Maze Runner " because ...

The sea of monsters

So far the book be great. The main characters so far is Percy and his friend Tyson ,who is homeless. In the story so far what happen is a Tyson was getting bullied and has no friends at first. Then he got a friend name Percy Jackson.         Percy Jackson remind me of Trent because he is chill and Percy is chill. Anne Of Green Gables

I'm reading Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery.  In the past few chapters I've read, the Cuthbert's  had sent word to Mrs. Spencer (the person who runs the  orphanage) to send them a boy about 11 years old to help Matthew cuthbert with farm work, but instead they got Anne Shirley. Matthew wanted to keep Anne but Mirilla was not sure about it quite yet, especially if she keeps daydreaming when doing chores. In chapter 4, Mirilla makes up her mind, when Mirilla decides to tell Mrs.Spencer about how they wanted a boy not a girl Mrs.Spencer insisted to meet up at the orphanage to talk about how this happened. As Anne and Mirilla were ridding to the orphanage Anne talked about her other families she'd had before the cuthbert's. Once Mirllia heard how bad the other families treated Anne, she felt bad giving her up to another bad family. TEXT TO SELF    Anne Shirley reminds me of me because we both have a very interesting personality...

Text to self - Holes

I'm reading Holes  by Louis Sachar. This book is about Stanley Yelnats IV and how his family thinks they have a curse. This curse is from their no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather. Build up of this story is when Stanley is walking home from school and a pair of shoes fell from the bridge above him. These shoes were not ordinary shoes, these were name brand shoes, on an auction and the money he got was going to go to homeless kids. These shoes started at the auction for $5000. A patrol car pulled up next and him and asked where he was running, meanwhile the police officer took the shoes and took a call on a radio. Shortly after he arrested Stanley. He chooses to go to a camp at court and the story shows how life is in this camp and what really this camp is for. One of my connection that I have made is how the book explained how Stanley Yelnats was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I knew someone who went to juvenile prison for a few days for something he ...

Text to Self Paint the Wind

I am reading Paint the Wind  by Pam Munoz Ryan. This story is about a girl and her parents died so she has to live with her rich grandmother. Sadly her grandmother has a stroke one day and passes away, so she is forced to go live with her mothers side of the family (aka her other grandparents). Her grandmother hated horses and was very rude and mean so she was kinda glad to go live with others but she was still paranoid because of all the punishments she got with her other grandmother. Her mothers side of the family loves horses and even lives on a ranch by the Rocky mountains. Then I read she just woke up and is getting ready to go eat and that's all I've read so far in the book. This character reminds me of my mom as a little girl because one side of her family hates horses and doesn't want anything to do with them. The character also reminds me of me because one side of my family hates horses and the other loves them and also im kinda stuck and confused like the main char...

Text to Self-The Fault In Our Stars

I'm reading the book The Fault in Our Star by John Green. You should read this book because it is very heartfelt and emotional, it is an inspiring love story. Some person who has read this book said "Filled with Staccato bursts of humor and tragedy"(-Jodi Picoult). So far I've read that Hazel Grace, the main character, has cancer. She is going through "depression" when really she just is accepting shes going to die. Hazel attends a support group and when she goes she meets a boy, named Augustus Waters, they hangout and fall in love. Augustus had cancer in his leg but they cut it off, so he technically is treated just went o support group with his friend Issac who is blind. Augustus wants a relationship with Hazel, and Hazel wants it too, but she sticks her ground to not because she doesn't want to hurt Augustus because she thinks she could die any second. Currently they are going to Amsterdam to visit Peter Van Houten, who is the author of their favorit...

Text to Self - The Invisible Man

I'm reading T h e Invisible Man   by Herbert George Wells but adapted by Malvina Vogel. Imagine no one seeing you, then they just randomly follow you because you're invisible. The Invisible Man is about a man on the run from the police trying to hide without being found and can't eat because the police can see the food in your stomach. The Invisible Man then must wear wrap around his head to keep warm in Winter.  The Invisible Man then runs from Dr. Kemp to resist arrest! This text connects to me because I wish I could be invisible. This text also connects to me because I sometimes wish I was a doctor because I could help people live longer. This also connects to me because I sometimes record my breaks from school. Finally this connects to me because I could run from places without people knowing, I could run from school. This is how The Invisible Man connects to me. I liked this book because it was very unusual as of course because it was a mystery. I would recommend t...

Yet they were best friend, one day they got into an argument. One night Henrietta decided to cut her sisters bangs while she was sleeping, resulting in Henrietta being sent away to her Great Aunt Priscilla's house. Priscilla is mean, rude, cruel, unkind and selfish. She basically made Henrietta be a Cinderella, Henrietta cooked, cleaned, scrubbed, etc. Arabella was missing her sister so her and her friends developed a plan, a plan for Arabella to get her sister back. Arabella ran away, met a friend named Gus, both of them were on their way to ...

Text To Self~Cinder

The book I am reading is called Cinder  by Marissa Meyer.  This book genre is like a science fiction/fantasy. The book is about a cyborg girl, who lives with her rude step-mother, one rude step-sister, and one nice stepsister.  A plague is going around, which kills people, and there is no cure.  While in a junk yard, Cinder and one of her step-sisters finds out the step-sister has the plague, and it may be Cinder's fault she got it.  Cinder's mother learns about this, and sends Cinder to be a test subject on plague antidotes..  But, Cinder and the doctor soon learn that Cinder is immune to the plague, and may be Lunar.      The character Cinder reminds me of me because she seems to get angry easily, and so do I.  Also, she cares for her siblings, and I take care/care about my siblings.  Pearl, the mean stepsister, reminds me of my older sister, because my older sister is mean to me, and makes me get her food an...

Text to Self: The Sea of Monsters

I am reading the book The Sea of Monsters  by Rick Riordan. This book is the second book part of the series called: Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The book is about Percy Jackson (the main character), Annabeth, and Tyson a, friend of Percy's that's a cyclops. They are tying to save camp half-blood, a camp that is a camp for demigods which are half god half human. The problem with it is that the barrier is getting weaker and weaker. This is because Thalia's tree has been poisoned, and Thalia's tree is basically a barrier keeping out monsters and other things out in the world, to get in everyone needs permission from someone that is allowed in. The golden fleece can revitalize any land where it's placed like cure sickness, strengthens nature, cleans up pollution, and other things, and Percy and Annabeth think that it can revive Thalia's tree, so they are on the quest to find it. To find this fleece, they have to go in to the Sea of Monsters, which the human...

Text to Self- The Maze Runner

I am reading The Maze Runner by James Dashner. This book's genre is post-apocalyptic. This book is about a teen named Thomas who came to this mysterious place called the Glades. He does not know where and why he is there. Thomas does not also know anything about his life anymore; he is completely clueless. Now that Thomas has been at the Glades for a while, he now knows there is a large maze with bad things inside. Thomas is not allowed to go inside the maze. However, Thomas said he wants to participate in being a runner.            The character Thomas reminds me of one of my friends because she is very outgoing. Therefore, Thomas is outgoing because he wants to be a runner in the maze.  Thomas also reminds me of myself because I am always very cautious of my actions in various situations. For example, when Thomas was very alert about some sort of "abyss", he did not take the risk of getting any closer. Inste...
