Text To Self~Cinder

     The book I am reading is called Cinder by Marissa Meyer.  This book genre is like a science fiction/fantasy. The book is about a cyborg girl, who lives with her rude step-mother, one rude step-sister, and one nice stepsister.  A plague is going around, which kills people, and there is no cure.  While in a junk yard, Cinder and one of her step-sisters finds out the step-sister has the plague, and it may be Cinder's fault she got it.  Cinder's mother learns about this, and sends Cinder to be a test subject on plague antidotes..  But, Cinder and the doctor soon learn that Cinder is immune to the plague, and may be Lunar.

     The character Cinder reminds me of me because she seems to get angry easily, and so do I.  Also, she cares for her siblings, and I take care/care about my siblings.  Pearl, the mean stepsister, reminds me of my older sister, because my older sister is mean to me, and makes me get her food and drinks.  In the book Cinder, it says, "'I know a cyborg who could volunteer for the plague test,' said Pearl. 'Why wait for the draft?'"

     What I cant believe in the book is that Cinder may be a secret Lunar, and people hate Lunars. Like what if she finds out she is, and the Lunar Queen wants to kill her? If I were Cinder I would escape New Beijing, and find another place to live.  But, I wish that Cinder couldn't be a 'slave' to her step-mother, or she could just leave.

Text to Text- The Girl Who Drank the Moon

         If you recall, I was reading The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill. Much has happened in the story since I last posted. The witch (Xan) calls the baby Luna and over the years Luna grows very powerful, but she doesn't know what she's doing. At about the age of five Xan has to put a spell on Luna to capture her magic and when Luna turns 13 her magic will come out. Unfortunately that means Xan will die. When it's close to Luna's birthday Xan leaves because she has to get the baby from the circle to take to the free cities. Luna goes out to look for her grandmother and ends up having an interesting adventure.          This book reminds me of the book Sleeping Beauty because both main characters has a spell cast on them. Luna's spell causes her to loose her magic until she turns 13 and Sleeping Beauty's spell cause her to sleep for a long time. Text to Self- The Maze Runner

           I am reading The Maze Runner by James Dashner. This book's genre is post-apocalyptic. This book is about a teen named Thomas who came to this mysterious place called the Glades. He does not know where and why he is there. Thomas does not also know anything about his life anymore; he is completely clueless. Now that Thomas has been at the Glades for a while, he now knows there is a large maze with bad things inside. Thomas is not allowed to go inside the maze. However, Thomas said he wants to participate in being a runner.            The character Thomas reminds me of one of my friends because she is very outgoing. Therefore, Thomas is outgoing because he wants to be a runner in the maze.  Thomas also reminds me of myself because I am always very cautious of my actions in various situations.
