Text to self: The Trouble With Twins

I'm reading The Trouble With Twins by Kathryn Siebel. All she did was cut her sisters hair then she was sent away. This book is called The Trouble with Twins by Kathryn Siebel illustrated by Julia Sarda. Arabella and Henrietta might have been twins, but looked and acted different. Arabella had perfect smooth hair, was smart, and always happy. While Henrietta had hair that sticks out, always needed tutors, and had no facial expression. Yet they were best friend, one day they got into an argument. One night Henrietta decided to cut her sisters bangs while she was sleeping, resulting in Henrietta being sent away to her Great Aunt Priscilla's house. Priscilla is mean, rude, cruel, unkind and selfish. She basically made Henrietta be a Cinderella, Henrietta cooked, cleaned, scrubbed, etc. Arabella was missing her sister so her and her friends developed a plan, a plan for Arabella to get her sister back. Arabella ran away, met a friend named Gus, both of them were on their way to Henrietta. While back at home Arabella's parents were freaking out sending search parties after her. Then their parents went to Priscilla's to get a reward. They were going to use Priscilla's expensive ring for the reward. When they arrived after so many arguments Henrietta made Priscilla agree to give her ring to them. But the ring wouldn't come off. Now they are thinking of sending Priscilla to the doctors. Now Arabella and Gus stopped at a bookstore, not knowing that Henrietta's friend (the owner) was inside. So Henrietta's friend helped them go to Henrietta. Everyone got Priscilla to the doctor. Arabella an Gus saved Henrietta from Priscilla´s house catching on fire, Henrietta and Arabella were reunited. They got Priscilla´s ring off and went home. Henrietta and Arabella reunited with their parents. Priscilla got a new house and became nicer. And they all lived happily ever after!

Arabella reminds me of my old babysitter, because she cares about everyone and does whatever she can to help. Arabella also reminds me of myself because I too try to help everybody as much as I can. That's why I am in student council, and national junior honors society(NJHS). When Arabella and Henrietta got into a huge fight. It reminds me of when my brother and I got into a huge fight, but then we resolved it.

I was shocked when Henrietta cut Arabella's hair because you would never suspect Henrietta to cut her sisters hair even if she was in an argument with her. If I was Arabella I would be SUPER determined to get Henrietta back, because Henrietta is "my sister" and I would miss her. This book I love so far that's why I read it again! This book is filled with adventure, drama, and mystery which is awesome.

    You had a very good first paragraph, which to be honest, makes me want to read it. Your connection paragraph was also very well written. Overall, it's a great blog, it gave you details about what the book is about, a good connection, and a good ending paragraph

Text to Text- The Girl Who Drank the Moon

         If you recall, I was reading The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill. Much has happened in the story since I last posted. The witch (Xan) calls the baby Luna and over the years Luna grows very powerful, but she doesn't know what she's doing. At about the age of five Xan has to put a spell on Luna to capture her magic and when Luna turns 13 her magic will come out. Unfortunately that means Xan will die. When it's close to Luna's birthday Xan leaves because she has to get the baby from the circle to take to the free cities. Luna goes out to look for her grandmother and ends up having an interesting adventure.          This book reminds me of the book Sleeping Beauty because both main characters has a spell cast on them. Luna's spell causes her to loose her magic until she turns 13 and Sleeping Beauty's spell cause her to sleep for a long time. Text to Self- The Maze Runner

           I am reading The Maze Runner by James Dashner. This book's genre is post-apocalyptic. This book is about a teen named Thomas who came to this mysterious place called the Glades. He does not know where and why he is there. Thomas does not also know anything about his life anymore; he is completely clueless. Now that Thomas has been at the Glades for a while, he now knows there is a large maze with bad things inside. Thomas is not allowed to go inside the maze. However, Thomas said he wants to participate in being a runner.            The character Thomas reminds me of one of my friends because she is very outgoing. Therefore, Thomas is outgoing because he wants to be a runner in the maze.  Thomas also reminds me of myself because I am always very cautious of my actions in various situations.
