Text to World-Pie

Pie by Sarah Weeks. This book is about a girl (Alice) who has an aunt that owns a famous pie shop, but sadly passes away. Everyone wants the aunts pie crust recipe, but she left it with her cat. When Alice goes into her aunts pie shop, she finds that it had been broken into. Everything in the pie shop was destroyed, but nothing was stolen except the pie crust recipe. She had told her parents, but her parents wanted the recipe themselves so they didn't care. Alice and her friend, Charlie, had went on a mission to find out who had stolen the famous pie crust recipe.
All these characters remind me of some of my friends because whenever something in the world doesn't feel right they are always they first ones to come up with reasons why something had happened or what had happened. That reminds me of the book because Alice and her friend are on the case to find out what had happened to her aunts pie recipe.
If I were in this situation I would have done the same thing Alice did because I would want to know where a famous pie recipe went. Also, what I began to think when I was reading the book was, why didn't the two kids interview the people that had been on the sight and had seen what had happened. And why wouldn't the kids just ask the people that looked the most suspicious, and the people that were avoiding to talk to the kids about what had happened.
