Text to world~ Kings Cage

I read Kings Cage by Victoria Aveyard. Mare Barrow lives in a world divided by blood: silver, and red. She go captured by the King- who wants to end her, what will happen now. This book is the third book in the series Red Queen, go to this link-------(link) and it will summarize the first book and the second book. So the next months are of Mare in a "cell", and when I say "cell" I really mean: not a prison but an actual room with silent stone(silent stone makes abilities go away), a bed, table, chair, and bathroom which she has limited time in. Mare gets fed a specific time of day, and always is watched by people that take away your abilities. Now King Maven has extra protection at ALL costs. Back in the Scarlet Guard headquarters Cal has changed, he is different since Mare sacrificed herself. And now their are more newbloods. King Maven now is forcing Mare to pretend she's okay. He's making Mare got to meetings and say lies about the scarlet guard now making it seem like the scarlet guard is bad. She does this for a while. Until one important meeting makes them go to the Choke(the Choke is the land between Norta and Lakelands the is the battlefield. There is a small white marble house and an area outside where there are chairs and the Lakelander King, and his daughter. Once she arrives there with King Maven they have a meeting about ending the century war. Once they do that, Maven and the Lakelander Kings daughter become betrothed. On their wedding day, Mare is forced to go- still with her ability taker guards. Before Maven can get married to the Princess the scarlet guard comes and stops it. Mare's guards take her to a train, but Evangeline(close worker to King Maven) kills them giving Mare freedom on only once condition, that Mare doesn't kill her brother. Evangeline now runs away with her family to have their own Kingdom, they don't agree with King Maven. Mare agrees and is free from the silent stone locks and now she has her abilities. She eventually find Cal and they go back to Scarlet Guard headquarters. Mare now reunites with her family and friends, she trains as usual. Her, Cal, and some friends go to Evangeline's family's kingdom. Only to be told by Cal's grandmother, that he could get the Kingdom of Norta back by rightfully becoming the King and she promised that he could marry Evangeline. Cal and Mare are stunned and they walk outside to talk about it, Mare says don't do it but Cal is unsure. Mare leaves Cal disappointment, and the book ends with Mare talking to her friend Farley.

The problem of Mare being in prison is like back then in Germany they imprisoned Jewish people. As it is said above, Mare is imprisoned in a room/cell. Mare has limited access to the bathroom and gets fed a certain time of day. Mare also is being watched at ALL times, no matter when. Back then when Hitler was a dictator in Germany he made special camps for the Jewish people to be in. They would usually have a room, being fed certain times of day, had limited access to the bathroom and is ALWAYS watched. This is very similar to Mare.

I love the way the author describes everything, to her time in prison and her time out of it. I was shocked at the end when Cal was unsure about the whole King thing. I would've thought since everything Cal went through that he would be right by her side, but sadly that was not the case. I admire Mare, because no matter how much she goes through she still has hope. Another thing that I admire about her is she that also cares about her family and friends so much that she would sacrifice herself for them.
