Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters
I am reading Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan. Percy and Annabeth have to save the camp and Percy's friend Grover. Grover is a Satyr, a half goat- half man. Grover was trying to capture the golden fleece so he can save the camp. The golden fleece can restore any living or non-living beings power. Tantalus (the head of the camp) gives Clarisse permission to go on a quest. Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson go anyways. They run through various problems trying to get to Polyphemus's island. They eventually get to the island and retrieve the fleece also killing Polyphemus.
Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters can connect to how Puerto Rico is using balloons to restore their cell service. These articles can connect In the Sea of Monsters, they are using the Golden Fleece to restore the barrier to keep out monsters from getting in the camp. Monsters attacked the barrier and eventually broke it. This similar to the Puerto Rico article because like monsters, hurricanes hit Puerto Rico and broke the cell towers.
If I was Grover, I would run away in less than five seconds. Percy shouldn't have let Annabeth listen to the siren's. If he wouldn't have let her listen, they would have avoided so much emotion, trouble, and physical ability. I don't like that the author put in the part where Percy and Annabeth get stuck at the resort and then Percy gets turned into a hamster. It was just a waste of pages and time.
