Text to Self--Stranded

I am reading Stranded by Jeff Probst is a fiction novel novel about several kids stranded stranded on an island. This is the sixth book from the series Stranded. So far in Stranded, Chizo and Carter were in the forest while Carter was in a bamboo woven net. Once Carter fell, he started to charge Chizo. Carter backed off the fight though. Meanwhile back at camp, Jane was refusing to go to the campfire without Carter. Once they saw Ani and realized that he was going inwards towards the island instead of onto the island beach, they had no choice but to follow her into the island. After they got into the island, Laki the leader of the Nukula tribe had some of his "guards" go receive Carter. When Chizo was being taken away, he showed carter the way towards Jane, Vanessa, and Buzz. When Carter made the decision to go after them, he was going to jump into the river but hesitated. Once he heard people shouting after them he became brave enough to jump in, he got caught on a fallen tree.

This character reminds me of me because I am very adventurous and like to accept challenges.
Jane also makes me think of how I would never leave my family. I would act similar to Carter in the rapid situation because again I would want to find my family at all cost's. If I was Carter when he "attacked" Chizo, I would have done the same thing. I would start to attack him to let my anger out, but then I would stop because I know it is the right thing to do.

I noticed that when Carter heard other people coming, he became brave enough to jump into the rapids. I wish I knew some of the words they were saying like "Ekka Ko". The part where Jane doesn't want to leave Carter is very realistic because nobody would want to leave their family behind. I don't know why Carter jumped into the river without knowing who was behind him.
