Text To Self, Bruiser
I am reading about Bruiser, by Neal Shusterman. Bruiser is the main focus in this story. He is struggling to find a way. His uncle Holt has been beating him up, and everyone at school doesn't like him, except for his girlfriend, Bronte. Bronte has a brother about the same age, his name is Tennyson, smart but dumb in Bronte's eyes. He is very suspicious about Bruiser, Tennyson thinks that he is going to do something bad to his sister but he is starting to come through with them dating, and they start to become friends, but know odd things are happening to Tennyson because he is friends with Bruiser, so what will he do.
Tennyson reminds me of me this is because, he is caring and helpful. When Tennyson saw bruiser almost getting beat up by his uncle, he stood up and yelled no. I feel like I am caring and helpful when it comes to others getting feelings hurt or are injured. This situation reminds me of when my sister gets her feelings hurt I will help who get through her situations.
Some questions that I had when I was reading this book was, why was Bruiser hated? What did he do for so many people not to like him? Was it just because he was different? I like the idea of how the chapters are set up because, you can see at the top of the page who that chapter is about, or who is going to be talking in that chapter. Overall I think this book is a very good book, and i suggest you read it and share your opinion about it.
